Belgate is expected to be a major shopping destination in the
Southeast. IKEA, the world's largest home furnishings retailer, is opening a 345,000-square-foot store in mid-February at Belgate. This is IKEA's first store in the Carolinas, and it will be surrounded by retail, restaurant, hotel, office and
residential spaces.
