DAVIS LOVE III SHORT COURSE OPENS AT RIVER HALL
Fort Myers, Fla. – River Hall residents and members received a preview of the community’s new signature 18-hole golf course, designed by Davis Love III, during the recent opening of the short course and practice range. The River Hall golf course is the first in Florida for Love Golf Design, co-founded by Davis Love III with his brother, Mark. It is one of the only new courses to open in the Fort Myers area by a top-tier designer.
“Davis Love designed the River Hall course so that everyone can enjoy a round of golf,” said Doug Fisher, director of golf. According to Fisher, the course is playable for all skill levels and offers a range of strategic challenges.
“There’s a way to play every hole that will make you want to play this course again and again,” said Davis Love III during a progress visit to the course.
River Hall is setting a new standard for “bundled golf courses” with a design by a world recognized leader of the game. At River Hall Country Club, membership to the Club is included with the purchase of a home. For more information, click here or call (866) 379-3999. |

Lake James, N.C. – Hully Gully is an intimate enclave of 12 cabin homesites just steps away from the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail and Camp Lake James in the 1780 community. BridgeWater IS COMING UP ROSES
Lakeland, Fla. – BridgeWater became much brighter during a recent rose garden dedication ceremony honoring the late Peggy Brown, an active member of the Lakeland Garden Club and town mayor from 1976 through 1984. The rose garden dedication was in conjunction with the ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the opening of The Lake Club Amenity Center at BridgeWater. The rose garden is adjacent to The Lake Club overlooking picturesque Lake Peggy, which was also named in her honor.
“We’re pleased to be part of a community with such rich legacies,” said Grady Miars, regional manager, LandMar Group. “Our wish is that this garden will flourish and grow as the city did under Peggy’s care and leadership.”
Each of the community’s five signature lakes is named after a pioneering woman who influenced Lakeland’s history. More than half of the community is comprised of water, open spaces and preserves, with virtually all homes offering a water view.

OLDFIELD CELEBRATES RETURN OF BALD EAGLES
Okatie, S.C. – The time has arrived, and bald eagles have returned in full force to the Lowcountry. Oldfield Naturalist Marvin Bouknight eagerly anticipates seeing them each year. As the largest bird of prey, eagles are amazing in both size and ability. Bouknight enjoys watching them on the wing, actively hunting amidst the flocks of seagulls, terns, ducks and coots. Out on the Okatie, they actively pursue any water bird in their vicinity. The eagle starts out by cruising and circling around to isolate its prey. Once singling out a bird on the wing or on the water, it is a battle of agility, power and endurance.
Eagles are just one of nature’s wonders that can be closely observed in the wetlands around Oldfield. To learn more about this Lowcountry community, visit www.oldfield1732.com or call (866) 653-3435. |
