Camp Lake James.
Camp Lake James, our lake adventure center, is the place to begin and end daily excursions on Lake James. Whether it’s working with staff at the Expedition Center to schedule a day of rock climbing, learning more about creating certified backyard habitats or enjoying an evening under the stars at The Camp’s outdoor amphitheater, Camp Lake James encourages members to make the most of life on the lake.
Owners in 1780 and Old Wildlife Club are founding members of The Camp. A limited number of recreational licenses are available to the general public. The Camp’s facilities offer members a wide array of amenities, including the Social Hall with a fitness center and County Line Canteen, two swimming pools, tennis courts, activity fields, an amphitheater and an extensive trail system with connections to the Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail. And if you would like to spend a night on Lake James, we're now taking reservations for our new rental cabin at Hully Gully.
