
M. Troy Lucas
Vice President, Resort Division
Troy Lucas was promoted to vice president of the resort division of Crescent Resources in 2010. In this role, he helps manage Palmetto Bluff and the company’s communities surrounding Lake James, N.C. and Lake Keowee, S.C.
Lucas joined Crescent in 1999 as an assistant project manager. He was promoted to project manager with responsibilities for the Lake James communities in 2003. In 2007, he assumed responsibilities for the company’s residential developments in Florida and southeast Georgia, and assisted with planning for Palmetto Bluff.
Lucas is a member of the Urban Land Institute and American Planning Institute. He previously served as chair of the McDowell County (N.C.) Tourism Development Authority, and finance chair for the Burke County (N.C.) Partnership for Economic Development and as a member of the North Carolina Foothills Conservancy Advisory Board.
The Charlotte, N.C., native earned a master’s degree in city and regional planning from Clemson University and a bachelor’s degree in forest management from North Carolina State University.
Crescent Resources is a real estate development company with interests throughout the southeastern United States. Established in 1969, the Charlotte-based company develops single-family, multifamily and resort residential communities. Crescent also owns and manages business and industrial parks and shopping centers.
