
Robert Whitney (Whit) Duncan
President, Commercial Division
Whit Duncan was promoted to president of the commercial division of Crescent Resources in 2010. In this capacity, he directs the company’s office, industrial and retail developments and property management throughout the Southeast.
Duncan joined Crescent in 1997 as director of leasing for the company’s office and industrial buildings in Orlando. He was promoted to vice president in 2001, assuming responsibilities for the company’s commercial portfolio in the
Tampa area.
Duncan has more than 25 years’ experience in commercial real estate. Prior to joining Crescent, he held positions with CBRE, ComTech Properties, Morley Properties and Grover Bryan, Inc.
Active in the industry, Duncan is a member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and serves on the board of directors for the School of Real Estate at Florida State University. He is a former member of the board of directors of the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks (NAIOP). Duncan was named Developer of the Year by the Orlando chapter of Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA) in 1999.
Duncan is a founding director of United Legacy Bank, serves on the business advisory committee for the Lake Mary Chamber of Commerce and is a member of First Presbyterian Church of Orlando. He is a former member of the municipal planning board for the City of Orlando.
The Orlando native earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida State University.
Crescent Resources is a real estate development company with interests throughout the southeastern United States. Established in 1969, the Charlotte-based company develops single-family, multifamily and resort residential communities. Crescent also owns and manages business and industrial parks and shopping centers.
