Benjamin L. Collins
Regional Director, Southeast Region
Benjamin Collins joined Crescent Resources in 2010. As regional director, he manages and oversees all aspects of the development process throughout the Southeast.
Collins previously served as development manager for Colonial Properties Trust, where he led a southeastern regional development office. He has also held development management positions with Grubb Properties, the Charlotte Housing Authority and The Affordable Housing Group.
Collins is a founding member of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Real Estate Alumni Association, president and chairman of the North Carolina Housing Coalition, and a government affairs committee member of the Greater Charlotte Apartment Association.
He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute and volunteers with Crisis Assistance Ministries, Habitat for Humanity and Charlotte Emergency Housing.
Collins is a Madison, Wis., native and earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He received a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in real estate from UNC Charlotte.
Crescent Resources is a real estate development company with interests throughout the southeastern United States. Established in 1969, the Charlotte-based company develops single-family, multifamily and resort residential communities. Crescent also owns and manages business and industrial parks and shopping centers.
